BIOGRAPHY

Javier Delgado (Seville, Spain) began his studies with Vicente Fuertes, bassist of the R.O.S.S. and later in the Academia de Estudios Orquestales de la Fundación Baremboim-Said, with Manfred Pernutz, soloist of the Staatskapelle Orquestra of Berlín, as well as collaborating with numerous classical music groups, amongst others, the Orquesta Joven de Andalucía touring throughout Portugal and 

the U.K.

 

In jazz he’s studied with Ray Drummond, Jerry Bergonzi, Barry Harris, 

Dave Santoro, Dave Phillips, Ben Street, Perico Sambeat and Paul Wertico.

Javier Delgado (Seville, Spain) has performed with Melker Isaksson, Paul Stocker, Harris Eisenstadt, Pedro Cortejosa, Arturo Serra, Norman Hogues, Perico Sambeat or Sheila Jordan, performing in jazz festivals througout Spain, Uk, Germany, France, Denmark, Indonesia, Morroco or Norway. 

He’s taught at the Escuela de Música Moderna y Jazz of the University of Cadiz (Spain) and at the Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory (Nepal), as well as in jazz seminars in Isla Cristina and Utrera (Spain). He is the bassist for the Andalucía Big Band.
